These seasons all began May 15 in the East Pacific and June 1 in the Central Pacific and ended November 30. These dates conventionally delimit the period of time when tropical cyclones form in these regions.
Seasons
1832 Pacific hurricane season
This is the first known East Pacific tropical cyclone. In December of this year it was tracked from near the Big Island to a point near Johnston Atoll.
1839 Pacific hurricane season
On November 1, a hurricane struck near Mazatlán, doing heavy damage to boats and watercraft.
1840 Pacific hurricane season
On November 1, a hurricane hit San Blas, where it did heavy damage to shipping.
1843 Pacific hurricane season
On September 23, German shipping logs recorded a cyclone near 17°N 147°W. Its path was towards the Big Island of Hawaii, but what happened to it is unknown.
1847 Pacific hurricane season
A tropical cyclone existed On October 24 of this year.
1849 Pacific hurricane season
A system existed on June 21 and 22.
1850 Pacific hurricane season
Eight systems are recorded. They existed on an unknown date, June 24, August 5, September 9 to 11, September 26, October 1 to 6, October 3 and an unknown date in October.
1851 Pacific hurricane season
Three systems are recorded. They existed on September 16, October 21, and some time in October.
1852 Pacific hurricane season
A system was reported from July 16 to 19.
1854 Pacific hurricane season
A tropical cyclone existed on October 3.
